Company Ekofiltr spol. s r.o. It belongs to leading Czech manufacturers of filter inserts for air conditioning . It was established in 1992 by privatizing air -conditioning filters production at ZD Vlára Slavičín and thus represents more than thirty -year tradition air filter production in Slavičín.
In the production of the filters we use filter materials of the highest quality, from the world's leading manufacturers. These materials are processed in modern automatic lines according to European standards EN ISO 16890, EN 779 and EN 1822. We are holders of certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Today we employ 123 employees, and due to excellent quality and a favorable price policy, we export 40% of our production to European countries, but we also have a strong position on the market in the Czech Republic.
In 2002 we bought new production premiseswhich have increased the productivity of labour in manufacturing of filter elements. We have invested in a new production line for manufacturing HEPA filters using the minipleat system. In cooperation with leading Czech manufacturers of non-woven textiles we develop new materials for air filtration. From the year 2012 we test HEPA filters in our own Hepa laboratory. At the turn of 2010-2011, we went for a reconstruction of the existing warehouse, built a new hall for manufacturing filters and invested in a steel shelter. In 2015, we have invested in new premises for more efficient production.

History
The history of manufacturing of air filters in Slavičín dates back to the 1970s when the Vlára cooperative farm started the production of air-conditioning filter elements as a sideline. Until the Velvet Revolution it was one of the largest manufacturers of this kind of goods in what was then Czechoslovakia. After the Revolution the Vlára cooperative farm dissolved, many people were dismissed from the sideline production, customers were lost and the manufacturing of filter elements appeared on the brink of discontinuation. In these circumstances, the sideline production was privatised in April 1992 and the private company EKOFILTR spol. s.r.o. was established.
At the beginning of the business, the company had 13 employees and an annual turnover of 6 million CZK. Since the very beginning the company has started to benefit from this extensive experience of production of filter elements and the company started to gradually regain its former customers. A big advantage is that the company EKOFILTR itself was producing, and still produces, the entire range of air filters of all filtration classes. In cooperation with renowned domestic and foreign manufacturers of filtration materials, the company gradually managed to produce very effective and high-quality filtration materials for all filtration classes, which increased the quality and competitiveness of manufactured products.
In 1995 the company was contacted by the German company BBK Filtermedien, through which we could certify the quality of our products on the demanding German market. The company's products compared favourably even with those of the foreign manufacturers of filter elements and the company gained several customers with whom it has been cooperating up to now, with the export of the products to the German market increasing year by year.
